Distant Learning Options

ISCS Muwaileh provides various learning models for its students, which include:

  • Virtual Learning Environment: Offers a comprehensive online platform that facilitates interactive lessons and resource access, allowing students to engage with their studies from anywhere.
  • Synchronous Online Learning: Enables real-time classes where students participate in live discussions and activities, fostering immediate feedback and interaction with teachers and peers.
  • Asynchronous Online Learning: Allows students to access learning materials and complete assignments at their own pace, providing flexibility and the opportunity for deeper exploration of topics.

These options ensure that learning continues seamlessly, even when the physical school is closed due to floods or health crises. The advantages include:

  • Enhanced engagement through interactive and collaborative projects.
  • Flexibility to accommodate diverse learning styles and schedules.
  • Continued support for academic achievement, ensuring students thrive even while learning from a distance.

Full Face to Face (On Campus - Synchronous Learning)

  • For students from EYFS/FS1 - Grade 13
  • 4 days/week from Monday – Thursday.
  • Timings for EYFS/FS1 – FS2 is from 7:00am to 12:45pm
  • Timings for Year 1- Grade 7/Year 8 is from 7:00 am to 2:25 pm.
  • Timings for Grade 8/Year 9 – Grade 13 is from 7:00 am to 2:25 pm.
  • 7 lessons/day of 50 mins each for students from KG2/Yr. 1 – Gr 8/Yr 9 that offers a balance between academics and non-academics with the main focus on student wellbeing and effective delivery of both the UK program of study and MOE/Quran curriculum.
  • 9 lessons/day of 40 mins each for students from Gr. 9/Yr. 10 – Gr .13 that offer a balance between academics and non-academics with the main focus on student wellbeing and effective delivery of both the UK program of study and MOE/Quran curriculum

In the event of a Pandemic

  • Students will be allocated specific classrooms. Social distancing rules will apply in all classrooms of all phases according to authorities’ guidelines and regulations.
  • Staggered breaks. NO gatherings in any of the canteens.
  • No assembly will be conducted. Instead, a scheduled form of tutor time every morning for 15 minutes will be facilitated to enhance health education, wellbeing and character building, and skills development.
  • This will be on a “first-come, first-served” basis. When classrooms are fully occupied according to social distancing rules, all applications will be considered for scenario 2.
