Child Protection and Safeguarding

Child Protection and Safeguarding

At the International School of Creative Science, we are committed to the safeguarding of children whether they are offline, online, onsite, or offsite. The school complies with Wadeema’s law in the United Arab Emirates, alongside the Ministry of Education’s Child Protection Policy. The school’s safeguarding policy is informed by the Department for Education in the United Kingdom using the latest Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance.

Our Safeguarding and Child Protection policy expresses our commitment to prevention and intervention measures to ensure the safety and well-being of our students. Our policy covers, but is not limited to, the following fundamental safeguarding responsibilities:

  • The identification and addressing of potential or actual harm to students in our school.
  • A commitment to e-safety, which is regularly reviewed in light of emerging online trends.
  • Efficient reporting processes to ensure a culture of vigilance for the safety of our students.
  • A rigorous recruitment process to ensure that only appropriately vetted adults work in regulated activity with our students.
  • Appropriate adaptations in the curriculum to ensure the promotion of safeguarding principles, reporting processes and appropriate age-related behaviours.
  • The promotion of virtues to encourage positive displays of behaviour in line with the school’s faith ethos.

For more information about the schools safeguarding policies and procedures please see the below safeguarding policy. For information about curriculum content, e-safety and the promotion of virtues through all parts of the curriculum please contact your child’s head teacher.

If you have any concerns about safeguarding for your child, please contact any member of the Senior Leadership Team who will be immediately available to support you.
