Extra Curricular Activities

ISCS offers a range of extra-curricular activities and extra-learning activities for all years; these activities will change each term based on feedback from our parents and more importantly, our students. These exceptional extra-curricular activities inspire students to be active and enthusiastic participants in a wide range of activities from an early age. Extra-curricular activities, school trips and learning outside of the classroom will enable students to broaden their perspectives, and will also serve to foster a greater understanding of the local culture of the UAE.

The key aim of after school activities is to create a social environment for students to develop through physical activities and have social opportunities which allow them to develop as a whole personality, to become strong leaders in areas that interest them. Some clubs are led by volunteers, others by staff, and some by external providers: Activities and Learning clubs are a key way to develop new skills, form lifelong friendships, benefit from team work and realise personal interests.

In addition to our ECA programme, there will be a number of activities throughout the year, highlights of our year will include bazaars, fairs, special days, art shows, sports competitions and games. We will also operate a full after-school activities programme to encourage students to explore their interests and develop new ones. Older students will be encouraged to participate in International activities such as MUN, World Scholars Cup, National Quran Competition to name a few.

The list of clubs may change termly but generally includes:

  • Arts – Graffiti Club, Cooking, Art, Nasheed, Roleplay, Pottery, Gardening, Robotics
  • Sports – Football, Netball, Gymnastics, Chess, MyGym, Basketball, Swimming, Boxing
  • Languages – Arabic, Creative Writing, Debate, Code, French, Quran, English
