How to Prepare Your Child for Returning to School After the Summer Break
Latest TIMMS scores shows ISCS Muwaileh is amongst the leading British curriculum schools in UAE by outperforming local and international competition
As part of its Vision 2021, the UAE has launched an ambitious overhaul programme to prepare the country and its workforce for a knowledge-based economy. Key to implementing this plan is strengthening the education sector, particularly in maths and sciences. Through its participation in the Trends in Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS), the UAE joined an international assessment project that analyses students’ development in these subjects in both Grade 4 and Grade 8.
With the latest release of TIMSS data in 2017, students from the International School of Creative Science (ISCS) outperformed their peers in Sharjah, the UAE, and the UK.

The report also included valuable insights from parent and student questionnaires, which detailed parents’ perceptions of ISCS’s performance. This data also shows that learning resources available at home and school discipline are both better than the international average.
When TIMSS is next administered in 2019, ISCS students will be ready to reach even higher goals, proving that the UAE is the home of forward-thinking modern education.
