Gaining Admission To One Of The Best British Curriculum Schools In UAE

Admissions hints and tips to help your child enroll at the International School of Creative Science Nad Al Sheba (ISCS)

As parents, we know how much work you put into finding the right school for your child. The International School of Creative Science Nad Al Sheba, teaching the British curriculum in Dubai, can be the perfect place for your child to grow and learn. We welcome a diverse student body every September, with the term ending in June. ISCS teaches students of over fifty different nationalities, all of whom make the school a unique and fascinating place to study. The admission process starts in February of every year for new students, while returning students may book their place in the coming academic year in January. Like many leading British curriculum schools in UAE, there are three terms in every academic year, as well as three breaks in the year: for winter, spring, and summer. Please remember that admission into a particular year is dependent on a child’s age and is given on a “first come, first served” basis.

Application forms are available at the reception desk as well as on our website. These must be completed and submitted along with the supporting documents. A copy of your child’s and each parent’s passport with valid residence visa, the original and a copy of your child’s Emirates ID, a copy of each parent’s Emirates ID, and a copy of the child’s birth certificate are all necessary. Along with this, you must attach two recent coloured photographs of your child, a copy of their Vaccination Certificate, an attested Transfer Certificate, and the most recent End of School Year Report from your child’s previous school (or a ‘To Whom It May Concern’ letter). A non-refundable admission fee of AED 1000 is also applicable at the time of registration. For UAE nationals, a copy of your Family Register is required as well. Transfer Certificates from outside the UAE must be legalized and attested.

After a review of the application, your child may be called in for an entrance exam and interview. Students of Year 3 and above will also be given the CAT4 or Cognitive Ability Test. Prospective Foundation Stage students will be asked to come in for an informal interview in the presence of their parents. Students in Years 1 to 6 must sit for a computerised entrance exam, along with an interview. If ISCS Al Sheba turns out to be the right fit for your child, you will be notified via phone or email. After the admission process is complete, congratulations! You are now a part of the ISCS community. We can’t wait to see what our new students accomplish this year.
